Home-and-Home: Our list of most memorable games, plus some recruiting talk
Christian and Tyson reminisce about the most memorable games they've witnessed in person ... and discuss two Pac-12 programs currently recruiting at two different levels.
Home-and-Home is a monthly conversation between Christian Caple of On Montlake and Tyson Alger of The I-5 Corridor. With more than two decades of combined experience covering football in the Northwest, join On Montlake and The I-5 Corridor each month for their unique views on the Ducks, Huskies and Pac-12 football.
ALGER: Christian: I was cruising through Twitter last week and came across a post from Oregon women’s basketball coach Kelly Graves that feels like it might be right in our wheelhouse.
Graves logged in shortly before lunch and posted this:
Lucky me, I was at three of those five. And now that’s got me thinking about what my actual top five would be. Then that got me thinking that you probably got a killer top five, because, well, we’re getting old now, my guy, and have probably forgotten more games than we remember.
But those ones that stand out are pretty hard to shake.
Care for a little stroll down memory lane? I have to imagine we might have a few that overlap here.
CAPLE: Are we talking just UW here? Or might the editors permit a mention of the Mark Morris boys basketball team beating Rainier Beach in the 2005 3A state semifinals?
And man, just five? I’m going to have to think about this.
