Montlake Mailbag: Program vibes, Jedd Fisch and some time off
Answering your questions before taking a short break.
It’s time for a break, if not a vacation.
I’m sticking around town, but taking the next week-and-a-half off, returning to full-time Substacking the week of July 1. By that point, we’ll be within a month or so of Washington starting training camp, which suddenly doesn’t seem so far away.
Begin passing the time with another Montlake Mailbag — as always, Friends of the Program get priority — which addresses the following topics:
Jedd Fisch’s longevity, in reverse
Contrasting the program vibe under different coaches
Celebrating 2023
Why UW lost transfers during the DeBoer/Fisch transition
Future nonconference scheduling
Returning contributors
Transfer portal 101
What week will UW become bowl eligible?
It’s thanks to your subscription dollars that I’m able to take some time in the summer to recharge — and that I can book a full season of Big Ten road travel without breaking a sweat. It’s a quiet time of year, but hopefully you’ve appreciated having some unique coverage to read as spring turns to summer. Thanks for sticking with me.
(Listeners of Say Who, Say Pod can expect a new episode the week of July 1, likely publishing earlier in the week to avoid conflicting with the holiday.)
