Montlake Monday: A Quentin Moore update, and other notes from Jedd Fisch
Washington's coach addresses the media with a 1-0 record.
SEATTLE — At first, the injury appeared serious. Quentin Moore caught Will Rogers’ throw, turned up field and gained 14 yards before Weber State linebacker Garrett Beck downed him with a hard hit to his left leg in the second quarter of Saturday’s game.
Moore immediately grabbed at his left knee. He laid on his back as trainers inspected him. Eventually, teammates Sam Adams II and Cam Davis helped Moore off the field and into the injury tent. The senior from Kenmore put little weight on his left leg as he exited, and didn’t return to the game, though he did appear on the sideline in full uniform.
UW coach Jedd Fisch couldn’t offer a concrete timeline for Moore’s return on Monday — he was scheduled to meet with a team doctor later in the day — but did indicate the Huskies’ starting tight end wouldn’t be out more than a couple weeks.
