Pac-12 power rankings: Five remain unbeaten, and could stay that way
For another two weeks, at least.
Not only does the Pac-12 still boast five undefeated teams with four weeks of games in the rearview. It’s also at least possible that all five teams could remain unbeaten going into Week 7.
Washington visits Arizona this week, then is idle in Week 6. USC visits Colorado, then hosts Arizona. Oregon visits Stanford before an idle week. Washington State is idle before visiting UCLA, and Utah visits Oregon State before an idle week.
WSU winning at UCLA is no gimme, and neither is the Utes’ trip to Corvallis. This being the Pac-12, some silliness could always occur elsewhere, too. At present, though, it appears the league’s top tier is positioned to separate itself even further from the rest of the conference in the short term.
On to this week’s power rankings, which feature some shuffling among the unbeatens.
(These rankings are intended as a snapshot of the conference at this specific point in time, and not a predicted order of finish. Previous week’s rank in parentheses.)
