Pac-12 power rankings: Washington and Oregon will make this easier next week
Huskies, Ducks both idle before Oct. 14 clash.
First, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who tweeted, commented, emailed or otherwise reached out over the past few days. My uncle Jim would have been touched by the outpouring, and I know my family appreciates it.
At first, I thought it would be sort of strange to follow such a heavy subject by publishing something as trivial as a power ranking. But as I mentioned in my story about Jim, he loved to rank things as much as anybody; he was instrumental, after all, in Page 2’s exhaustive grading and ranking of every Major League ballpark.
I shared some more stories and thoughts about my uncle on Ep. 72 of Say Who, Say Pod, with my co-host, Danny O’Neil, publishing Thursday morning. I hope you’ll give it a listen.
Let’s forge ahead with this week’s power ranking.
(These rankings are intended as a snapshot of the conference at this specific point in time, and not a predicted order of finish. Previous week’s rank in parentheses.)
