Sweet Caroline is both the Boston Red Sox song and the Penn State song... Which makes the song choice even more egregious. A lot of the Big Ten teams have a song from the '60s that is a sing-along song... Wisconsin has build me up buttercup... Penn State has Sweet Caroline.
