Wow, that was super interesting! Thanks for doing that! It's always nice to hear from an insider.

Now who is that recruit that Cooper had to push for Petersen to bring for a visit? And who is the Big Ten player that you referenced?

Sounded like Cooper referred to a WR, and I think it was Josh Delgado. He made a visit for the Spring Game, I believe, and wanted to commit, but he didn't. Then he signed with Oregon.

As for the Big Ten player mentioned, I have to think they were referring to Emeka Egbuka, right?

My guess is that Mycah Pittman is the one that CP didn't want. Egbuka was a Jimmy Lake recruit I believe. I think the Big 10 receiver is Gee Scott jr.

Ah, you're totally right. How could I forget the drama around Gee? And yeah, Pete may have been right about Pittman—a Duck to a Seminole.

Jordan Banks might be who he was referring too on Petersen not wanting him in.

Fantastic episode. Love hearing from Cooper Petagna. I could have listened to way more with him. Please have him back.

From listening to this it sounds like a football program will offer players and not offer them an official visit? It seems like they use the official visit invites as a big-deal closing opportunity. I always thought that if a player was offered and he wanted to take one of his 5 visits it happened, but it doesn't sound like it.

Man, that was such an insightful pod on so many different topics.

The recruiting superfan I am, the "ones who got away" section was absolutely crushing. Imagine Too'too, Charbonnett (ALWAYS wondered about that one), and the Hawaii LBs (thanks, Bob Gregory) would have elevated UW to finally winning some of those big OOC/bowl games. So close!

Anyone else get the sense he wasn't super bullish on DeBoer and co.'s recruiting? I mean, it's cool Courtney Morgan reaches out to him, but he didn't seem that impressed. Maybe I'm missing something?
