Christian and Danny revisit Washington's win over Tulsa, discuss the mess at Michigan State, and wonder what sort of challenge Saturday's game might present for the Huskies.
Maybe you guys can help illuminate what has become an absolute obsession in football (I guess maybe all sports?) in the last handful of years: the spread and gambling more generally. As someone who does not partake, it is hard to understand why I should care much about the spread/betting lines. If we were to compile stats for the last 100 UW football games, what do you think the straight up win/loss accuracy would be? I am inclined to say that if it is not at least 75% accurate in predicting the outcome, then the betting lines are useless aside from making casinos more money. What say you, degenerate gamblers!?
I think what you're asking is "how often did the team favored by Vegas end up winning the game, regardless of spread?"
The favorite can change over time as the line moves and depending on betting service, so you'd need to make some decision about what rules dictate who "the favorite" is, but I would also be interested in know the answer to this, at least as applied to UW games.
This is a top shelf podcast. Podcasts usually fill my time when driving, doing a workout, working in the yard or walking the dog. Having a mid week Husky podcast is something I really look forward to.
Danny and Christian are an ideal pairing. With Danny,s unbridled enthusiasm and Christian’s calming bass voice it comes off like good music. Their blend of analysis and humor make the hourish long episodes a must hear Podcast. If you are a Dawg Fan Christian Caple has the goods and On Montlake and the Say Who Say Pod is where the scoop and fun begins.
Christian remember Tuesday night MACtion games?? Well starting in 2024, CAL and WSU should have those games. They call u have to accept a home and home series with them. Guarantee them $25 M’s a year plus incentives of viewership and it will be CrAZEE popular. PAC after dark meets MACtion with 2 disgruntled teams.

Great show u 2. Right when I start to feel that $8 a month is way too much I hear a podcast like that and I feel you deserve $8.15 a month easily
Thanks Randy!
