I was going to come and make a comment about NIL, but Christian (via the Cover 3 guys) made it for me.
I am pretty frustrated by "NIL" - but not because the players are getting paid. It's because it is not (in most circumstances) NIL. These are not endorsement, marketing, appearance (etc) deals. It is paying players to play football at a particular school. Which ok, fine - but let's just call it what it is. And then lets just finish this out and bring it completely out in the open so everyone can compete on a level playing field (to the degree that they have the money).

One thing that's become obvious is academics no longer matter, AT ALL, unless you're a Stanford type kid, ugh.
