Christian, this might be my favorite piece you've ever written. Incredible work. And to be so fortunate to have that art, for the biggest game in my Husky fandom? Honestly such a treat.
This is how many UW games were during seasons in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s. The Huskies often highly ranked, playing meaningful games against other ranked teams both in and out of conference. The stadium packed, thunderous cheering, the TV cameras vibrating. Glad that the younger generations got to experience it today.
The ghost of Peyton Henry, alla 2018, faded that kick ever so slightly to the right.... Fantastic win today! Absolutely one for the ages!! Go DAWGS!!!!!
So many similar elements from last year-- amazing clutch plays from the Husky defense and offense, game-ending field goals , another (groan) fake injury by an Oregon player and another winning touchdown from Michael Penix when it looked all but lost in the last couple minutes--
and to all who were there today: you all looked and sounded great on national television!
Man, I'll never forget this game. When that FG sailed wide, I immediately thought of Peyton Henry missing his kick at Oregon many years ago. It's crazy how that moment came back again, but from the other side.
I won’t be able to speak properly for a week. I knew we had a chance if we could get the ball back, but based on how they were able to run the ball, I wasn’t sure we’d get it back. Then they threw it on 4th down. I was shocked.
Two plays later we had the lead. One more chance for the D to get a win. They did enough to take chip shot off the table. I couldn’t tell if it was good or not, but my son was watching the official and he grabbed me and yelled he missed. That’s the most collective joy I’ve ever experienced at a sporting event. I’ve never hugged so many strangers before.
Grear article, and great win! Anyone hear the whistles throughout the 3rd and 4th quarter coming from the visitor's section? Could hear it often from 130. Glad we pulled off the W despite the obvious fake injury from the Ducks and interference from their garbage fans
Aw Christian, damn - this is poetry, brother.

It was so LOUD in there today. For the entire game, Husky Nation showed up big time — and storming the field was our treat!

Epic piece for an epic game.
I’ll add a PNW ‘PS’ to this postgame. My Beaver buddy said the entire Reser tailgate erupted in cheers when Ducks missed that FG
Next, the Beavs need to take care of business and finish off Oregon when the two meet!

Just a wall of noise, I could not believe it. A special, special day. Great read, Christian.
Spot on! My voice is gone, my head hurts, and I still can't believe that finish. That was insane. Best game I've ever been to.

The eclipse foreshadowed the downfall of the ducks. Large flaming O setting on the horizon. The evidence is clear
Hello BIG. Two class programs coming your way.

Well said Christian. Greatest game I have ever seen at Husky Stadium, maybe anywhere. Beat ASU.
Probably greatest one I've seen but the 2016 Stanford game is close. That game though was over in 3rd quarter so not the excitement as this one.
2016 Stanford my 2nd for sure we finally rose to the occasion in a big moment. Excised Sark let downs
Crash Lanning lived up to his name!
God damn nothing like reading this after a dub
