Washington spring practice, Day 8: Thoughts from Kalen DeBoer on a scrimmage (plus: a Marcus Peters sighting)
Washington's former star cornerback returned to his alma mater and attended practice with his family.
SEATTLE — It was a busy Friday for the Washington Huskies. They held their first of three spring scrimmages — one more next week, then the April 22 Spring Preview event — and also hosted about 30 recruits and their families. Four-star quarterback signee Austin Mack was there. So was four-star O’Dea running back Jason Brown. Former UW running back Deontae Cooper, now the head coach at Highline in Burien, stopped by, too.
So did one guy whose presence was so surprising that he recorded and tweeted a video from inside the Dempsey and said this: “I bet y’all would have never guessed I would have showed up at the Dub, but we back.”
